Oklahoma Tackle Is Huge Sleeper

At the University of Oklahoma’s scrimmage today one player stood out to more than any other – Phil Loadholt. He is a JUCO transer from Garden City Community College in Kansas, who was also a track and field star in shotput. He stands at a gargantuan 6 feet – 8 inches tall and weighs in at 350 pounds (without shoes). He is the biggest player, period, to ever wear Crimson and Creme.

He is a four-star by Rivals.com.

Other than the obvious size and strength, his quickness caught my eye. He was able to move around quite well for someone of his nature. Usually players of his size are strictly run blockers, but Loadholt is able to move around in space and block off the end.

With a strong junior and senior performane he could potentially be a first day pick, maybe even slip into the first round. It’s not everyday you see a left tackle that has his quickness along with size and strength.
