A Super Bowl in London?

Mitchell Blatt
Un-American Commissioner Goodell Should be Sent to Guantanamo Bay
Recently, Barrack Obama came under fire for not wearing his American flag lapel, as some in the media found it’s absense unpatriotic. Not that it is a big deal. He stopped wearing it a few years ago, not last week. What is unpatriotic is what Roger Goodell said yesterday: “There’s a great deal of interest in holding a Super Bowl in London, so we’ll be looking at that.”
STOP THE PRESS, we’ve got treason!
In the 2004 election, worries about outsourcing of American jobs became a campaign issue for the Democrats. If the public didn’t take it seriously then, they need to take it seriously now. THE SUPER BOWL IS IN DANGER OF BEING OUTSOURCED!
There are no words for what I am thinking now. We have struggled through wars and protests for 231 years and now we are thinking of GIVING AWAY the Super Bowl?! We went to war against our brothers in 1861 so that we could free African-Americans to play proffessional sports, and now we are throwing that all away? We beat Britian TWICE in wars that they provoked, and now we are giving them the Super Bowl? This is enough to make even the most conservative American burn the flag.
Listen, Goodell, and listen well: You may want to bring enhance the NFL’s image overseas, you may want to turn the NFL into an international empire, but there are just some things you can’t do! Playing the Super Bowl overseas is one of them. The Super Bowl is an American icon. Football is America’s and America’s only.

[…] As we celebrate our freedom from Tony Blair’s successor’s tyranny, let us consider how fortunate we are to now longer be a subsidiary of England. Their boring soccer games never get as high scoring as 18-17, like the Rockies victory of the Marlons on the Fourth. However we still must never waver in defense of our freedom. We still have to battle modern day Benedict Arnolds like the one found in our NFL commissioner’s office, Roger Goodell, who wants to move the Super Bowl to London. […]
