Oh How I Hate

A-Rod, Barry Bonds, Michigan…

So, $92 million dollars isn’t enough for A-Rod? He needs to leave the team with the highest payroll in baseball to find someone who will pay him his fair market value of $32 million a year. Well, who did he come crawling back to in the end?

Of course, Pay-Rod had to have some incentives in there. For example, he may make what has been reported as $20 million extra if (I’m sorry, when) he breaks the home run record.

Yes, the chances of him breaking the home run record are so huge, that Hank Steinbrenner had the audacity to say something I would expect A-Rod to say:

“The Yankees have never had a player since Babe Ruth that really had a 100 percent chance of setting the record.”

For the record, A-Hole has 518 home runs over 14 season, 244 away. At the rate he’s going it will take 7 seasons for him to break the record with his steroid-enhanced muscles.

Now, I know, you love A-Rod. The world loves A-Rod. There’s no way he could ever taken steroids.

Jose Canseco says differently. And recently, Jose’s been very trustworthy.

People who support A-Rod for being clean and taking Bonds out of the record book are blind to A-Rod’s character flaws. He may not be Bonds, but he’s still a narcisist deserving of our contempt. I’m obliged to say he’s worse than Bonds because with Bonds at least we know he took steroids, and at least he’s getting punished for it. A-Rod is just like Hitler. When you’re in a bad situation, you will accept anyone as your savior.

Which brings us to…
Barry Bonds

I’m surprised he got indicted. They must have found some extra evidence that they hadn’t had in the past three years. Greg Anderson still wasn’t complying, but they said he was going to need to be a key player in the case.

Electronic Village has the 10-page indictment on their website for download. It’s mostly incidents that Bonds lied back in 2003 in front of a grand jury.

Here is an interesting exchanges:

Q: Starting in December 2001, on this page, there’s BB here, which obviously are consistent with your initials; correct?

A: He could know other BBs.

Q: Correct. But BB would also be your initials, is that correct?

A: That’s correct.

That’s what you go to law school for: learning how to get a suspect to reveal their initials.

Damn State Up North thinks they can win the Big 10 even after losing to Appalachian State. They’re a disgrace to the Big 10. And they’re going down.
