Facebook: A place for terrorists?

Wake Forest reserve running back gets the boot after threats on the social networking website. Welcome to the 21st century and an issue people in the 1970’s couldn’t of dreamed possible!

If Myspace is a place for friends does that make Facebook a place for terrorists?

It’s a fair question to ask, after an idiotic moron on the Wake Forest football team posted a threatening message on his own personal page in which he wrote that he would “blow up campus.

He wasn’t a good player, merely a reserve running back, but 19 year old Luke Caparelli is one heck of a jackass. Threatening to blow up your school? Are you freaking kidding me? How sick do you have to think to even joke about something like that. And if he was serious, something that could be believed considering he also wrote, that he would have an Uzi submachine gun “locked and loaded in his bag,” then I vouch this guy get thrown in jail.
Has it really come to this?

Facebook is now the perfect site to just do whatever the bleep you want? The saddest thing about the whole story: it’s totally believable. Think about how fast word could spread on a sick joke/reality like this. Everyone and their mother has a Facebook page nowadays, and that message probably spread like rapid fire. This is the type of crap that is going to get extra security added to the networking site, thus nullifying ever being able to confidently put anything personal on the popular website.

Couldn’t he have just poked a few people? Or put a funny bumper sticker on his page? No, he has to threaten to blow up the campus.

Yeesh. Where do you begin with jerks like this?

On Thursday a detective’s affidavit made it public that police didn’t find any weapons after searching this moron’s dorm room. Caparelli, who I nominate for January Jackass of 2008 (Kind of like Playmate of the Month, only not) has achknowledged to ‘writing the threats, and of course said he wouldn’t do anything to harm anyone on campus or hurt the school’ (SI.com).

That’s a relief.

Idiot! And that’s being nice.
