The difference between this sport and boxing is like night and day. Boxing is all about technique and tactics, hence the nickname "the sweet science", but MMA/UFC, while utilizing different disciplines, is all about beating the shit out of someone using any means necessary. I call that "growing up in the city of Boston", which to my knowledge wasn't a sport. To me this whole MMA “craze” is much ado about nothing.
