Update! Update! Update! Brett Favre!!!!!!
Trust me, you really don’t want to read this full post unless you want to see how stupid ESPN’s coverage of Brett Favre is. It includes a clip of SportsCenter talking about Brett Favre.
When I turn on my TV in the morning, I am now barraged with Titletown AND Brett Favre. (T.O. recently saved a reporter. Why doesn’t SportsCenter get on that?)
This morning, I was too tired to actually get up and do something else, so I kept watching even as the words “Brett Favre” crept accross the screen.
This is what I saw:
Not rumors about who he’s getting traded to. Not demands that the Packers release him. Just a few cliched answers by his teammates about who is going to be the starting quarterback.
“Yeah, Aaron Rodgers has been our starter this offseason… Brett Favre is a legend…”

Boy did the ESPY’s suck Favre’s you know what good. Every other minute there was some reference to the great Brett Favre. Stupid jokes about whether he’s coming back or not, ugh, stupid actresses gushing over the guy who has divided the city of Green Bay, and has shown himself to be obnoxiously selfish during this mess. And then they had to give him best record breaking accomplishment. Yuck. By the way: why in the world was Aaron Rodgers invited to the ESPY’s? What in the world has he ever done with the Pack to deserve a spot in the ESPY’s? Someone explain.
Considering Fergie was there, I don’t think they screen the invitations all that closely…
