Seattle has ONE championship in their city's history. Philadelphia hasn't won a title in any sports since the early 1980's, but you are right they did win the Arena Bowl!

ADD SHOW Aaron: good stuff. Though it appears you've gone with all one seeds. It will be a curious point if the stats and information we show for each city sways people any which way.

That's the fun of competitions like this. Some people may think one city, some another city. It really depends what people think of when they think of the "worst sports city in the U.S." I'm sure as heck excited to find out. We'll be starting things within the week. Stay tuned!

seattle isnt that bad. they had the mariners get 116 wins(record), hawks went to the superbowl and were scammed by the refs, and the sonics are gone now. soo what does oakland have thats any better? worst football team ever, which cancels out there alright baseball and basketball.

I think I'd have to go with Seattle out of the west's choices, that's a pretty miserable sports city all around. Sure, the Seahawks made it to the Bowl a few years ago but that was one of the worst Super Bowls in history to watch, and the rest of the teams are awful. I wouldn't go with Phoenix just because the D'Backs won it all in the past 10 years, so that's something.

It's an easy pick in the midwest - Cleveland. People talk about Philly suffering (trust me, I'll get to that) but Cleveland is right there. Plus...they live in Cleveland, that's rough. A tormented town.

Being from Philly I know as a fan of all 4 teams, we aren't loserville completely. It usually ends depressingly, but the Sixers went in 2001, Eagles in 2004, and the Phillies just got good finally, oh and the Sixers are moving up in the woeful east. And I think the category "would the team be missed?" ices the fact that Philly wouldn't "win" this division; people here live and die with their teams. So the right pick is Buffalo.

Atlanta out of the south, no question. Their fans are the worst in sports and so are their teams.
