Get your Phil of the Gold Medal winning champion
One of the best tandems in the AVP Tour, Dalhausser and Rogers are now the best men’s tandem in the world

Phil Dalhausser is one of the best volleyball players in the world and now he’s an Olympic gold medal champion.
The man who started volleyball his senior year of high school teamed up with the dynamic Todd Rogers to claim gold for the U.S. in a convincing win of Brazil completing the beach volleyball sweep for both the men and women’s American squads.
In honor of his accomplishment, I’m hoping to put up audio some time this week of a very interesting interview I conducted with Dalhausser in January 2007 when I was a member of the AVP Tour Press for a weekend. Dalhausser is a cool guy, an incredibly gifted athlete, and a quick learner. And he’s tall! But he’s also very nice, and a class act. Kudos to him and Rogers for an impressive Olympics. The two have been a team for just three years, and now they’re Olympic champions!
Again, I’m hoping to put up the audio sometime this week, because I think his story, and his meteoric rise to the top of the volleyball world, is a story worth telling. So stay tuned for that sometime (hopefully) this week.
