This is your last chance Adam Jones
Shocking news: Adam (don’t call me Pacman no more) Jones has been fully reinstated back into the NFL
SCOTT JACOBS
Yesterday, the big news was that the Oklahoma City NBA franchise would finally christen it’s mediocre new team with a moniker next wednesday. Today, the news was a little more expected: Adam Jones is back in the NFL.
It’s not the least bit shocking, nor is it surprising that Jones was reinstated. But let one thing be clear: this is Jones’ last chance. You know the expression keeping up with the Jones’? Well, Adam has to keep up with the laws’. It doesn’t sound too difficult. Make the right decisions, surround yourself with the right type of people, and don’t be a freaking idiot, but in sports we all know that’s a lot easier said then done.
So Jones is back. And for today at the very least, the Cowboys just improved dramatically, a defense that is already pretty stout. Dallas, which was 13-3 is considered the class of the NFC, and even the class of their own division, despite that other team (the Giants) owning the Super Bowl rings. The Cowboys haven’t won a playoff game in a really long time. I want to say it’s been over a decade. That is freaking pathetic, considering the Cardinals have actually won a playoff game in that span, against- you guessed it- Dallas!
So the rich get richer, and the good become potentially great.
That is, if Jones’ can stay out of trouble. I don’t need to go through his track record to remind you the mess he turned his career into. The supremely gifted cornerback, who was taken sixth overall by the Titans, is not only a good corner, but a terrific kick returner.
So that’s the latest. Jones’ is back.
The rest of the story is to be continued.

Adam Jones had to sweat Goodall’s decision all preseason, now the Cowboys will have to sweat Jones’ behavior all season. This is just another example of a high priced athlete given another chance due to the big business of sports. Like you stated sjacobs, Jones is not a great corner, a physical corner, but not a shutdown corner. His impact can be felt more on special teams as a return man. If he is able to get the Cowboys offense good field position, Jerry Jones will feel like his gamble paid off.
