It’s been a long time coming since Kansas cut down the nets and the Celtics claimed another championship, but we’re getting ever so close to the start of a new basketball season in both the college and pro ranks

So are you ready? Like really really ready? Cause basketball season is just about upon us, and we’d hate for you to the be the one who’s left behind. Got your mind wrapped around football, the World Series, and hockey? That’s just fine (Seriously, we commend you if you still keep up with hockey, you’re a dying breed). But hey, there’s always room for one more squaw (That’s a quote from something, can’t quite remember what).

Yesterday, University of Arizona coach Lute Olsen retired out of nowhere (it was a long time coming, but the timing was unexpected). Arizona’s made the NCAA tournament 24 straight times, which is currently the longest running streak in the nation, but trip number 25 in a row, if they get there, will be under a new head boss. Olsen will be missed. He was one of the great teachers of the game, and a fabulous recruiter of young talent. Check around the NBA and you’ll see a flurry of former Arizona Wildcats on NBA teams.
