Continues to reach out to minorities and poor people by dropping puck at another NHL game

Self proclaimed hockey mom Sarah Palin is once again in the NHL limelight. This time it’s because she’s confirmed that she will be the Blue’s ceremonial guest of honor for their game October 24th against the Los Angeles Kings. I understand she’s a ‘hockey mom’ and she pushes the whole, ‘average American citizen just like you and me card’ but if she is doing this for votes isn’t she partaking in the wrong sport? This isn’t to knock on hockey, but why pick a sport that has dropped so far off the sports map that few even realized the season had started, and some still don’t know (see poll question below).

This isn’t the first puck that Palin has dropped.

A few weeks ago she was nearly booed out of Philadelphia (then again they do boo Santa Claus) after they introduced her to the crowd. They had to actually turn the volume up. No word yet on how the midwest will welcome her, but it can’t be worse then the Northeast. People actually brought Obama-Biden signs to that game. To a hockey game!
