Welcome to the party Arizona Cardinals
Unbelievable win over Dallas proves that this Cards team is different from years past
SCOTT JACOBS
Any other year, the Cardinals would find a way to lose this game. Any other year the ball would bounce in a funny way, or some crazy interception would happen, or something. But not today. The Arizona Cardinals won an incredible game on Sunday 30-24 in overtime on a blocked kick, overcoming a 10 point lead they blew with 2 minutes to play. It was a wild game from start to finish, one of the most exciting I’ve seen in some time.
Neither offense did anything most of the first half, especially Arizona’s, but when the second half came, guns were ablazing. Arizona responded to a Dallas touchdown with 17 unanswered, but they couldn’t hold onto a late cushion, when Nick Folk made a 51 yarder as time expired.
The game went to overtime, Dallas won the toss, and the game looked bleak for the fans at UOPS. But, the Cardinals blocked Dallas’ punt and recovered it in the endzone, and that was it. The Cardinals had come away with an incredible, franchise changing win.
And at 4-2 who would’ve thunk that the Cardinals and Cowboys would have the same record six games into the season.
