A Texas girls high school basketball team beat another team 100-0. Let’s all cry for the losers.

Since the Covenant School apparently thinks it’s wrong to play to win (Dallas Academy should think that it’s wrong to schedule such an opponent), they have decided to forfeit to Dallas Academy.

Dallas Academy, after having their egos smashed and their hearts crushed, now must be really happy. I’m sure it feels good to lose by 100 then have the result reversed by pitiful forfeit.

I’m sure they feel good knowing that their loss is so bad that the drubbing has become a national story on ESPN. I’m sure it makes them feel good to know that ESPN’s Mike and Mike think the players should be so embarrassed for their loss that the two Mikes derided the other team for the win.

When you’re such a loser that you need others to feel pity for you, it’s time to hold your head up and continue to do all you can do to win. Brush the dirt off your shoulder and move on. ESPN ought to stay out of it and let the results speak for themselves.
