Double Coverage: Week 13, the picks

Double Coverage: Week 13, the picks

After a big time week, our resident pickatologist goes for another big-time week

MIKE KAYE

Last Week: 12-3 / Overall: 86-66 / Guest Pick: (0-1 last week) 6-5

Heck ya!!! What a week in picks for your’s truly. This week, I want to keep on keeping on and I think I have a good shot at that. Lets do this yet again.

Texans @ Eagles- Guest Pick: Scott. Pick: Eagles. I’m going with Philly because, well, the Eagles are just flat out better than Houston.

Saints @ Bengals-The Pick: Saints. The Saints proved on Thanksgiving that they are not going away and that same night the Bengals proved they should go somewhere else. The Bungles are getting crushed consistently, even if they are at home. This one will be close to start with and then Sean Payton will tell his team who they are playing…then it will be over.

Bears @ Lions- The Pick: Lions. Bears are coming off a monster win so they are confident, however the Lions basically beat them last time and this game will be in Detroit. Look for a big let down for Da Bears. Drew Stanton will surprise people.
49ers @ Packers- The Pick: Packers. Lovely showing by the 49ers on Monday night but this week they play a team that is not in the NFC West. The Packers are coming off a heartbreaking loss and they will make the next team pay. Green Bay will make the 49ers look like the Carolina Panthers.

Broncos @ Chiefs- The Pick: Chiefs. You won’t like Todd Haley when you run up the score on his team. This time they meet in KC and the Broncos have to deal with one of the hardest away stadiums in the league. Jamaal Charles will run all over this game.

Browns @ Dolphins- The Pick: Browns. There will be a lot of Peyton Hillis sightings going on in this game. I think Henne will come off his great Raiders game with a sense of confidence so I think Cleveland barely squeaks by.

Bills @ Vikings- The Pick: Vikings. I think Steven Johnson will have a lot to say in this game, unfortunately I think the Vikings get away with this one. I think Adrian Peterson is going be hard to contain at home.

Redskins @ NY Giants- The Pick: NY Giants. While I could see the NYG stumble, I think the Skins have nothing to play for except for DeAngelo Hall’s stats. Ahmad Bradshaw will making his benching temporary in this one.

Jaguars @ Titans- The Pick: Jaguars. Whether its Rusty Smith or Kerry Collins, the Jaguars are a determined team this time around. The Jags most heated rivalry will not have a Jax win to its bulletin board. Bottom line: if Kenny Britt doesn’t play, they don’t win.

Raiders @ Chargers- The Pick: Chargers. I think that Rivers will have the time of his life against one of the best corners in the league. He is on a roll and it ain’t stopping anytime soon.

Rams @ Cardinals- The Pick: Rams. If Derek Anderson thought losing to the Niners was funny, the Rams may beat him so bad that he’ll look like the Joker. Back-to-back losses to Heisman winners.

Cowboys @ Colts- The Pick: Colts. Peyton needs this game. We will see both struggling team’s resolve in this one but I think it will come down to quarterback play, and I think we all know who excels at that.

Panthers @ Seahawks-The Pick: Seahawks. Worst game of the week. Seahawks because at least they are aware of how to win multiple games and while their coach maybe crazy, he is still concerned about his team…I can’t say the same for John Fox.

Falcons @ Buccaneers- The Pick: Falcons. This has a lot riding on it. The NFC South and Wildcard will be greatly affected in this game. If the Bucs lose they most likely won’t make the playoffs, if the Falcons lose the Bucs are close on their heels and Atlanta has the Saints to worry about as well. I think Matt Ryan has an MVP-like performance and wills his team through this intense contest.

Steelers @ Ravens- The Pick: Ravens. This has a lot riding on it as well. This game will essentially decide the AFC North for the time-being. I just think the Ravens at home are tough to beat and ultimately I think they are better then the over-achieving Steelers.

NY Jets @ Patriots- The Pick: Patriots. The last three games on this week are huge…this one of them. Huge in the AFC East race and I truly believe this game will eventually decide the winner of the Division. Tom Brady is honestly too good to lose this big of game, especially against pedestrian Mark Sanchez. This one may need extra time but when the dust settles the Pats will be in the driver seat.
