Juiced Sports Presents: Final Mock Draft, Round 2
We couldn’t just leave you with only a first round mock, we had to include Round 2 for our Draft fans.
MIKE KAYE
33. New England (^ CAR) / Randall Cobb / WR / Kentucky
Cobb is a very interesting prospect. Kentucky isn’t really a powerhouse but he has made a name for himself through his versatility at both Wide-out and Returner. He is the type of player, Big Bill covets.
34. Denver / Akeem Ayers / OLB / UCLA
Ayers is unique because he is a tweener between both DE and SAM linebacker. He has great tape but he also has bad tape. He is seems to share the instincts of soon-to-be-former-Eagle Ernie Sims, which is none. He is talented, he just needs to be coached properly.
35. Buffalo / Kyle Rudolph / TE / Notre Dame
Rudolph would likely be a first round pick had he not been injured this past season. He has great hands and reminds me a lot of his Notre Dame predecessor John Carlson. Not bad company to be in.
36. Cincinnati / Christian Ponder / QB / FSU
While he is my favorite QB in the draft and I think someone will trade up into the first round to get him, with this draft I am not going to speculate trades. Ponder’s ceiling is most likely a healthy Carson Palmer so it may be a simple twist of fate for the Bengals.
37. Arizona / Andy Dalton / QB / TCU
The rocket-armed Red Head could play a Big Ben like role with former Steelers coordinator, Ken Whisenhunt. While I think this team needs a veteran to serve as a stop-gap, Dalton’s stock has risen for a reason.
38. Cleveland / Leonard Hankerson / WR / Miami
Hankerson is a 1st round talent that suffers because of a lack of priority for his position in the later first round. He has the size to be a number one WR, he just needs that opportunity to earn it.
39. San Francisco / Demarco Murray / HB / Oklahoma
Demarco is perfect for the West Coast Offense that Harbaugh plans to run. This guy caught 70 balls last season out of the backfield.
40. Tennessee / Davon House / CB / New Mexico State
House would serve as competition and depth for the right-side corner spot.
41. Dallas / Aaron Williams / FS/CB / Texas
Texas-bred Williams can do a lot for a poor secondary in big D.
42. Washington / Ryan Williams / RB / Virginia Tech
Williams is a tough guy from VT so he is a local product that the fans can get behind…and he is also pretty good.
43. Houston / Jabaal Sheard / OLB/DE / Pittsburgh
Sheard is the perfect complement to Brian Cushing as a rush linebacker. Underrated player that has first round talent.
44. Minnesota / Brandon Burton / CB / Utah
The Vikes did a poor job against the past last season, reinforcements would help.
45. Detroit / Curtis Brown / CB / Texas
While Brown isn’t a likely start, he has the potential to help a less-than-stellar secondary as a nickel or dime back.
46. St. Louis / Jordan Todman / RB / UConn
A speedy, pass-catching alternative to Steven Jackson that could prolong his career.
47. Denver (^MIA) / Marvin Austin / DT / UNC
Austin is a first round talent with a boatload of excuses about his transgressions in college. He is a superior athlete to most DT.
48. Jacksonville / Martez Wilson / ILB / Illinois
Kirk Morrison and Justin Durant are on their way out, but the athletic Wilson has the opportunity to supplement either.
49. Oakland / Orlando Franklin / OG / UM
Franklin owned likely-1st rounder Da’Quan Bowers, he has the potential to do it in the pros.
50. San Diego / Torrey Smith / WR / Maryland
Smith is a firecracker of offense, something Philip Rivers can use to his advantage.
51. NY Giants / Benjamin Ijalana / OG / Villanova
Another guard for the NYG’s ever-ageing line.
52. Tampa Bay / Marcus Cannon / OT / TCU
If Davin Joseph leaves in Free Agency, Cannon would be a very good replacement.
53. Kansas City / Stefen Wisnewski / C/G / Penn. State
Wisnewski adds youth to a promising O-line for Jamaal Charles to blast through.
54. Indianapolis / Stephen Paea / DT / Oregon St.
Paea is a strong man that can easily start for the mediocre DT unit in Indy.
55. Philadelphia / Joseph Barksdale / OT / LSU
Winston Justice is inconsistent so the Eagles get him some serious competition.
56. New Orleans / Bruce Carter / OLB / UNC
Carter is coming off a big injury but he if he recovers, he would be a huge steal in this draft.
57. Seattle / Colin Kaepernick / QB / Nevada
Kaepernick will most likely go higher but I think he would be a great fit in the Peter Carroll offense.
58. Baltimore / Ras-I Dowling / CB / Virginia
Dowling is tall and talented but he is coming off an injury. He is still, along with Harris, could provide great help to the aging secondary of the Ravens.
59. Atlanta / Drake Nevis / DT / LSU
Peria Jerry has done relatively well but he could use a running mate.
60. New England / Christian Ballard / DE/DT / Iowa
Ballard is talented and would serve as another cog and rotation member for the Pats.
61. Chicago / Rahim Moore / FS / UCLA
Moore is a ball hawk and would be a great prospect for Lovie Smith.
62. San Diego (^ NYJ) / Brooks Reed / OLB/DE / Arizona
Freakish motor with a bad-ass name, Reed would be a steal if he fell this far.
63. Pittsburgh / Ahmad Black / SS / Florida
Black could join a very smart secondary and would serve as Ryan Clark’s understudy.
64. Green Bay / DeAndre McDaniel / SS/FS / Clemson
Atari Bigby is probably gone with Free Agency so McDaniel could fill the need for a backup safety.
