Mets shutout Dodgers 6-0

The New York Mets shutout the Los Angeles Dodgers, winning 6-0 on July 5, 2011, to improve to 44-42. Carlos Beltron went 2-for-4, driving in 2 runs and scoring 2. Jason Bay also went 2-for-4, driving in 4 and scoring 2. Mike Pelfrey took the win for the Mets, pitching 6 innings and allowing 5 hits while walking 2 and striking out 2.
