Mets trade Francisco Rodriguez to Brewers

The financially ailing New York Mets traded closer Francisco Rodriguez (also known as K Rod) to the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night as Milwaukee looks to beef up their bullpen as it continues to fight for the top spot in the National League. The Mets sent cash along with the closer in exchange for two players to be named. More trades are expected as the MLB approaches the July 31st deadline.
