United States stuns Brazil in Women’s World Cup

The United States’ Women’s Soccer team upset Brazil in the quarterfinals of the World Cup. The win came after a shootout following a 2-2 tie at the end of extra time. US goaltender Hope Solo made a couple of big saves to keep the team in the game. One of the goals for the American team was an own goal by Brazil. The win sends the US team to the semifinals where it will play France and sends Brazil home earlier than expected.
