Why doesn’t Arian Foster come to my local Subway?
The Houston Texan running back, coming off of a breakout season, took his talents to the deli, where he manned the counter at a Los Angeles Subway on Wednesday with Jared Fogle

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been to a lot of Subway restaurants, and not once — to my knowledge — has a professional athlete taken my order. But there’s an exception to every rule, and yesterday, the exceptional Foster worked at Subway for a day to help introduce their new BBQ pulled pork sub. We’re not big with obvious product placements at Juiced Sports
, but sandwich sales from the event will be given to the West Alabama Food Bank (WAFB). WAFB is a non-profit organization that has been devoted to making sure all the recent flood disaster victims are fed as well as the relief workers helping to rebuild those areas. And to a good cause, we say why not.
Subway also launched their Pullin’ for a Cause initiative, “a text to donate” campaign. Text “FOOD” to 27722 if you’d like to donate $10 to the cause. For the next few weeks if you donate, Subway will match.
Here’s a few pictures of Foster, American for awesome running back (by the way: we should note that Foster was nominated for Breakout Athlete of the Year at the ESPYs even though he didn’t win). He did however get The Strongest Performance Award for his 231 yards and 3 TD day week one against the Colts. Boy that was a long time ago.
