Yao Ming to retire

After nine seasons in the NBA, Houston Rockets‘ center Yao Ming has decided to retire according to league sources. The Chinese native was one of the league’s top centers when healthy and is still only 30 years old. Several injuries have led to him missing major time in recent years and with his contract expiring, he may have decided it is time to call it quits. An official announcement is expected shortly.
