Take it to the Bank, Week 11 picks
Last Week: 10-5 (66%) / Season: 90-50 (64%) / Scott Pick: 3-6 (0-1)
MIKE KAYE
Welcome back to the playground of pickology. I am your loveable host, coming off another lackluster week. I love that Thursday Night Football is back. It’s a treat in the middle of the work week and last week’s game had some really good moments. I am feeling really good about these week’s games and I think we will get at least three games that come down to the final tick of the clock. Let’s Take it to the Bank.
NY Jets @ Broncos
Pick: NY Jets. I am still not convinced Tim Tebow can consistently win games with his style of quarterback (2-8 in passing attempts last week). I can say the same about the Jets, who may be one of the most inconsistent teams in the league. Something has to give in this Thursday night game, and I believe Revis Island will cause quite a lot of problems for Tebow. With Knowshon Moreno out and Willis McGahee slowed by injury, it may be even more difficult than it should be to beat the very underwhelming Jets.
Bengals @ Ravens
Pick: Ravens. Baltimore is coming off a very discouraging loss to the Seahawks, just after I praised the crap out of them on Juiced Sports Radio. Luckily for them, the Steelers were able to subdue the impressive Bengals for at least one week. These two teams have a lot to offer on defense, but their offenses are wishy-washy. With A.J. Green possibly being inactive this weekend, I will go with the home team because of the Bengals lack of playmakers.
Jaguars @ Browns
Pick: Jaguars. I smell a Jaguars winning streak coming on. The Browns have completely fell off since Peyton Hillis decided to add a whole new Madden curse and the Jags seem to have a pretty legit defense. This will be a low scoring game but the dynamic play of Maurice Jones-Drew (I forecast 150 yards and two touchdowns) will be enough to take out the Browns in Cleveland.
Panthers @ Lions.
Pick: Lions. Cam Newton had probably his least impressive performance against the Titans last week and unfortunately, I believe he is poised for another unsuccessful outing. The Lions need to prove once again that they can dominate bad teams. The Panthers have a great future but their present is not where it needs to be to beat Matt Stafford and Co.
Buccaneers @ Packers
Pick: Packers. The Bucs seem to be regressing every week and Raheem Morris is on the hot seat in my opinion. The Packers are probably the only team I trust in the entire league, so you can see why the choice is clear here. I love what Green Bay does with Jordy Nelson (the guy is talented, but nowhere near as good as Mike McCarthy’s play-calling or Aaron Rodgers). The Packers could beat the Bucs with Matt Flynn at this point.
Bills @ Dolphins
Pick: Bills. I have been impressed with the play of Matt Moore and unimpressed with Ryan Fitzpatrick as of late. While those two players are important to their team, this game will be decided by the running game and defense. I really like Marcel Dareus against the Miami offensive line. I think Fred Jackson can seriously run on the Fins.
Raiders @ Vikings
Pick: Raiders. I love Christian Ponder but it seems like Carson Palmer has the Raiders offense down pat. Palmer has obviously found a weapon in Denarious Moore who looks like a future Pro Bowler and this is a game he can shine in. The Vikings have very little outside of Jared Allen and Chad Greenway on defense, meaning the Raiders need to use their speed to their advantage. Hue Jackson has done wonders with his coaching this season and I think his game plan will put Oakland in a place to win.
Cowboys @ Redskins
Pick: Cowboys. I don’t care who the Skins start at quarterback; they are flat out awful. Dallas is up and down with their play but I think this should be a cakewalk for them. Dez Bryant will have big numbers this week.
Cardinals @ 49ers
Pick: 49ers. The best defensive free agent signing this offseason has been Carlos Rogers. He has been at an All-Pro level after a mediocre career in Washington. The Cardinals pulled off an upset last week but I don’t think they will be as lucky against San Fran on the road.
Seahawks @ Rams
Pick: Rams. The Rams seem to have found a way to win with the addition of Brandon Lloyd and the Seahawks upset the Ravens last week. This could be a surprisingly entertaining match up with two pretty awful defensive backfields. I like Richard Quinn against the Seahawks awful offensive line.
Titans @ Falcons
Pick: Falcons. The Falcons are simply the better team in this matchup. Chris Johnson has finally found his grove but the Falcons are very hard to beat at home. Matt Hasselbeck will be tested by Ray Edwards and this game will be dictated by how Hasselbeck handles the pressure.
Chargers @ Bears
Pick: Bears. The Bears come in on a serious roll and the Chargers seem to be unraveling. Chicago’s offensive line has really come together over the past few weeks and the Chargers have literally no pass rush outside of Antwan Barnes. A clean Jay Cutler is a successful Jay Cutler, and the aforementioned makes me believe that Cutler will light it up.
Eagles @ NY Giants
Pick: Scott Pick: Giants. I am retiring from picking the Eagles until proven otherwise. Clearly the Eagles just don’t have that ‘it’ factor, that we all thought they did. Their fall from grace nearly complete, I expect the Giants to put the nail in their coffin this week. The Eagles are 3-6 and oddly enough so are my Philly predictions. That’s about to change. New York’s other team rolls on Sunday Night Football.
Chiefs @ Patriots
Pick: Patriots. Tyler Palko has an awesome name but I don’t trust his first start against Tom Brady. It is very hard to match wits with Bill Belichick with even an awful defense and with MNF putting extra pressure on Palko, this is a done deal in my opinion. Take it to the Bank.

Thursday Nite Football, Yeah! I see you have some good picks and I would agree with lots of them.
