Last week well, we took the week off. We were feeling a little under the weather. Kind of like the St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders, who decided they were through taking their lumps and they wanted to go in a new direction. So the Rams canned head coach Scott Linehan, who had completely lost the respect of his players, and the Raiders axed long-rumored lame duck head coach Lane Kiffin. We understood the first move. As for Oakland’s move, well not so much. Anyhow, that’s water under the bridge. We’re done dwelling on the past. Let’s move on to the present!

This week the Titans, Bills, and Giants put their undefeated records on the line, while the Rams, Texans, Lions, and Bengals look for win number one. Week three was a lot fun. We had everything from the historic (T.O. reaching second place all time on the career touchdowns list), to the shocking (Denver going for two and the win). We saw the passing of the torch postponed, at least for now (New England still winning) and it’s quite clear that the Packers look just fine without #4 under center.

The Cardinals are 2-0. We’re still pinching ourselves to convince ourselves that’s real. In Miami and St. Louis they’d rather do garden work then watch their atrocious teams play. Atlanta got a reality check this past week, and realized, no, they’re not ready for a Super Bowl run. But DirecTV, well, they’ll stick by you all the way through.
