Jordan Crawford May Have Said Something Naughty To Carmelo Anthony

NBA 6th Man of the Year JR Smith said that if he hadn’t been suspended for Game 4 of the first round of the New York Knicks playoff matchup against the Boston Celtics, he’d be playing golf right now. That’s because the Knicks would have swept the Celtics, you see, but since he wasn’t there to hit a few shots and dance like a wild man in front of Louis CK, Boston won Game 4.So it should have been over last night with Smith back for Game 5, right? WRONG, YOU FOOLS! The Celtics absolutely stymied the Knicks on defense, making Smith and NBA scoring leader Carmelo Anthony look downright foolish at times in a 92-86 victory that was not nearly as close as the score suggests. Now, with the Celtics within one game of forcing this series to go the distance, you can imagine that things might be getting a little heated between these two bitter rivals. And it is, because sports are awesome. It started with the reason Smith was suspended – this totally unnecessary hit on Jason Terry.Unnecessary being the keyword, but “hilarious” and “super awesomely fun to watch” being the appropriate accessory words. Last night, things got personal, though, as Celtics seat-warmer Jordan Crawford shouted what appears to be, “My boy f*cked your wife” at Anthony. In this reference, “my boy” means Kevin Garnett, who claimed earlier this season to have slept with La La Vasquez-Anthony, but that was just brushed off as typical KG trash talk because he’s an A-hole like that. But is that absolutely what Crawford said? Let’s turn to this GIF for further interpretation:Here are some other things he may have said:My toy duck is a delight. My bok choi sucked at dinner tonight. Hi, goy, tucked shirts are all right. Bye soy, chucked meat is the life.I have to say that the jury is out on this one.The post Jordan Crawford May Have Said Something Naughty To Carmelo Anthony appeared first on With Leather.

Melo's Wife To Jordan Crawford: "You On The Bench For A Reason"

This is really the only comeback necessary.
Celtics benchwarmer Jordan Crawford was caught yelling at Carmelo Anthony during a post-buzzer scrum. It didn't take a lipreader to make out the words: "That motherfucker fucked your wife," "that motherfucker" being Kevin Garnett, a reference to KG's earlier General Mills-sponsored claim about Mrs. Anthony, the former La La Vazquez.

In the locker room, Carmelo told writers not to waste their words on Crawford. This afternoon, La La chipped in on her Instagram account, posting a pseudoinsprational quote. (From "@phuckyoquote," presumably a modern-day Bartlett's.)
But what really stands out is her caption:

Try again. You on the bench for a reason.

It's a power move. It's why Jordan Crawford will never win a beef. His opponent will always counter with "you're Jordan Crawford."

Kevin Garnett Treats Us To Another Great Postgame Interview

OK, so this doesn't rate as high as the "BAR FIGHT!" or the "ANYTHING IS POSSIIIIIBLE!" interviews, but few things in this world do.
This still features all the hallmarks of a great KG postgame interview, though: Profusive sweating, an abundance of nervous energy, ignoring the reporter's questions, and a final flourish. Get your hard hat on.

Jordan Crawford To Melo: "That Motherfucker Fucked Your Wife"

You know things have gone horribly wrong when J.R. Smith is the one playing peacemaker.
At home with a chance to close out the Celtics, the Knicks arrived at the arena wearing all black. They got destroyed.

“Well, we was going to a funeral, but it looks like we got buried,” J.R. Smith said. “Basketball is a very humbling game.”

After the game, Carmelo Anthony (22 points) and Jordan Crawford (DNP-shitty) exchanged words as they crossed each other's paths. Cameras caught Crawford saying something to Anthony, and it looked for all the world like "that motherfucker fucked your wife."

That'd be a reference to Anthony's confrontation with Kevin Garnett in January, during which Garnett reportedly made a comment about La La Vazquez, using a vulgar breakfast-cereal reference.
Afterward, Anthony tried to take the high road, saying,

“I’m not thinking about no Jordan Crawford. Not at this point in time. I’ll tell you that. I don’t even think he deserves for you to be typing right now.”

While Crawford, um, denied he was there?

“Not me. You’d better go talk to someone who was there.”

Doc Rivers joked that he was just happy John Starks wasn't there, but as the series heads to Boston, a matchup already laden with drama and bad blood now has a little more.

Jason Terry Prolongs Celtics-Knicks Series

At the end of the first half, Boston owned a 54-35 lead over the Knicks. With 1:18 left in the fourth, Raymond Felton gave the Knicks their first lead of the day at 84-82 on a pull-up jumper just inside the key. Kevin Garnett immediately tied the game and after a couple misses from Carmelo and another one from Paul Pierce, the game went to overtime.
Felton had the second half we almost remembered, but Jason Terry had the overtime we will remember. He gave the Celtics the lead on a three-pointer with 1:30 left, maintained that lead on another jumper on the next possession and iced the game with a layup. In all, he scored nine of Boston's 13 points in overtime.
Terry may have only delayed the inevitable but there will be a Game 5 on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden. Maybe the series really will start then.
